How Everyone Benefits From Mortgage Rescue

On December 19, 2007, the San Diego Union Tribune (daily paper) published my opinion piece titled "How Everyone Benefits From Mortgage Rescue" which addresses the issue of lenders freezing the teaser rates. The full article can be viewed at (pdf) and of course you can find out more about us at San Diego's Finest Real Estate

You tell 'em, Bob! I did purchase the newspaper the day you and your wife visited the office and read your article--good stuff!

Nice OpEd piece. I generally agree with your assessment of the subprime problem on the local economy, but as I understand it, various international investment groups have assumed some of the debt associated with subprime mortgages and their investment are jeopardized by increased risk and/or failure. In this regard, the international effect of the collapse of the subprime market may be reduced confidence in the US economy and a further drop in the value of the US dollar.....not good globally or locally. The enclosed article provides more insight into the threads of instability across the global financial markets arising from the risky investments such as subprime mortgages.

By the way your full page editorial in the Union Tribune on why everyone should care about the subprime debacle was awesome!
